Dog licking human … What is the cause? My pit bull lick my husband to distraction?

We have almost 2 years old blue nose pit, and constantly is licking any human being who is in contact with (especially my husband, but me and our 6 year old son). It's a horrible habit annoying, and I want to know what causes and how to stop. He (Wilbur, the dog / pig) has a lot of treats, toys, and things to chew, but loves to lick human skin. It can be very disconcerting after 20 minutes. I understand that just cream on the legs, but he knows that my husband does not put cream in the arms of God, how long …….. Any suggestions on what causes this behavior? Gets good quality dog ??food (dry and wet food Diamond BG) so I can not imagine there is a dietary cause …… and is well socialized with other dogs both, 5 cats, and a 6 year old at home, as well the dog park. Has anyone else run into this?
