The dog's behavior? 'S work?
I just started working at a dog boarding / dog kennel (and supply store) and I that advice from the owners. No websites. What are common behaviors of dogs and dogs in kennels. For example: No dogs from day care, that come in every day for 6 hours, while people work. Everyone knows each other and are all in a boardroom. The owner (the kennel) I said not to go there and try to make friends or whatever, because dogs are attached – and will start to fight / Biing etc. Like that's the kind of things I want know. I am also a cat owner and the person, so I'm trying to do my research and learn more about dogs and dog behaviors, etc. is Any help appriciated, experiences, what not to do, so I'm not dumb dog, be a little, but I know as a cat-owner there's more I have to learn about of dogs! Thank you all! Ok …. please refrain from stupid answers here?
Not much to read dogs and understanding their behavior. It takes years of handling several dogs to be good at it. I hope someone is monitoring the dogs, leaving them unsupervised, and all together is asking for trouble. That is one of the problems with many nurseries, officials do not know what they are doing. That is not a reflection of you, and I know the owner, but if the dogs are alone, I'd be skeptical of what you learn from them.

What should I do if my dog barks at everyone in public?
I've had this dog since he was a month old. I took it to work and never really socialized with me right although it is very intelligent and can teach anything. He is well potty trained and can understand many commands. I see that the aggressive tendencies when we go out in public, barks at everyone and when my daughters what you have pets and freezes at times shaking. Probably be nervous. I know that if something no one would be out of fear, but I do not know what else to do with it. We love to death and I'm always worried that my 2 year old does not know when to stop petting and get frustrated and bite. He has not done, but we are always aware of our daughters actions. She is never unattended, when around him. I need a way to help stop this aggressive behavior, but I do not know what I can do to work for the whole family. I can, t pay dearly pet specialists, but I'm willing to follow a daily routine. Thank you.

Why do some dogs are "singing"?
When I was young, I used to have a dog that has started to "sing" (Beep) each time someone had blown on a pipe or a harmonica. I recently watched the video below, and I begin to wonder if there is an explanation rationale for this behavior? Thanks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiblYasnzWE
I can think of two possible explanations. 1 – dogs were domesticated wolves, which are social animals. When you start another howling usually join in. The noise may have been instinctive trigger this response in your dog. 2 – dogs ears are very sensitive. It could have been the frequencies of the instruments that were driving an answer, which irritated the dogs. I think the first is more likely;)

Cambridge Institute questions about dog behavior and training?
Okay, so I talked to them at Crufts, have searched the site and just have to ask. It is a good place to start learning basic skills. It is a mixture of distance and the workshop, depending on what the module is. I know that the formation of behavior are often the skills learned through apprenticeships and training for work, but I am doing some courses on animal handling and care of at the moment and I want to do is the behavior and training, but obviously I can not do a real learning in the hands or something, while doing a course full time and part-time work in the kennel, but I can do distance learning courses as well. So I was thinking it might be a way to learn the basics and things started to get a degree as well. But I do not know much about the professional opinion of places like CIDBT, so that any UK dog trainers about what is worth doing these courses to get a good idea and start a little before actually start forming shadow?
The CIDBT is a unique course that works in the real world. Most courses are academic degrees and have no practical requirements it is a little like learning to drive a car by reading a book .. Sounds good on paper, but when you get behind the wheel, is a different story. Colin Tennant began CIDBT and all the teachers are the practice of trainers and behaviorists, unlike most college courses. I am not a member, but I do know Colin and CIDBT the well, as I am president of PAACT The Professional Association of Applied Canine Trainers and recently participated in discussions with CAWC Animal Welfare Company Council on the future of dog training and behavior. CIDBT I think is probably the most realistic course of study to go with you if you want to move behavior and training. Best of luck
