I have an anxious dog that chews the house when I leave for work, what I can do to help?

I think the dog has some anxiety separation. Every time I leave the apartment we live in it chews the door frame or window frame trying to get out I guess. I can not think of anything do at the moment – I've tried to spend as much time with her as I can before leaving for work and with her after I get back. I have also tried to ignore your dog the best possible way to try to make your own more than enough, but still behaves the same way. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on what I can do to help her stop this destructive behavior? I'm putting in a hard place financially to repair damage caused by the dog and do not want use for maintenance in a cage all day. Can anyone help? Thanks to all who would respond.

Keep ur dog in a cage and such ask a neighbor once that is good with dogs to stop and let every few hours and eat it.If not ask somene dog ur dog feels whlie ur past so that will take of her.If or I do not like a dogsitter thenhire awnser that brush her and give her a bath and all for like $ 25 or you can google and find a region around the Uruguay Round.

How to leave your dog with separation anxiety barking?

Well, I've taken a guard dog and it seems that separation anxiety horrible. As soon as it is packed not stop barking begins. You can not eat or accept any treatment for their moments of good behavior and makes is very difficult to praise when it finally is silent. He had so I can not leave the house, but when we are out it gets plenty of exercise and loves to be around me … But I can not deal with this incessant barking of the two remaining weeks until your next appointment with the vet to make sure that the lonely are gone. I try to leave your favorite type of bones there with him, but that does not keep him busy, or quiet. I've never had this problem before! Any suggestions?

Besides the bones, which may be left with him his favorite toy with your scent, or something else (like a garment) with its smell in it. Being able to smell next (even if not) can help calm him. Also, turn the fan can help create white noise to drown out any disturbing noise you can hear in other locations, such as floors, crunchy horns transit, etc.

How I can handle the destructive behavior in my old mixed breed dog years? It only happens when I leave home.?

So far, the behavior has not hurt my dog in any way but I worry that you can if you get into something dangerous. I deleted a large number of objects of the rooms have access to light day and therefore can not enter, but he always found something! It is a rescue dog and I think this behavior is related to separation anxiety possible. Council?

Crate-train and train him to poop-cage a day when no one is home. That way he can not get into mischief. Training makes it tolerable adequately, and OK for a dog to wait all day to go. Therefore, it can remain in the drawer of U all the way home!

Strange cat behavior …. separation anxiety?

Whenever I'm gone, and when I turn off the lights for bed my cat begins Howl and finds the nearest plastic curly What carries it around the mouth making howling sounds crazy and then sometimes it comes to toys for dogs and starts to fuck them and meowing very strong. The sounds it makes are out of this world. He is neutered. One I found sleeping in my bed, then it is totally fine and starts to purr very strong and curls up beside me. I can not understand the strange behavior.

Some cats do not like being alone. Especially if it's new location and are not used to it yet. I have a cat rescue that used to mourn all the time at any moment he could not find anybody. It is now settled and know where find, so it does both. Now it's just a few minutes after my SO is going to work in the morning. I call and he comes with me and everything is snuggle well in your world again:)

How I can get my dog to show more Christian-like behavior?

Lately, my dog has been taking place in some behaviors I have pretty devious and fear for your soul. Some of the things that concern me most: – He is not monogamous. – He has "special relations" with other dogs. – When you go to the park, and sees another dog, who always goes up and behind the odors than dogs. Is there anything I can do for him? Is there any way have to teach good Christian values? Serious replies only please. Thanks!

I would not worry about the soul of the dog. I am, however, a little worried about yours. The dogs are not expected to be able to reason right and wrong, the way human beings. Or is it a thinly veiled attempt to suggest that we must model our sexual behavior in what we see dogs doing?

How to treat dog separation anxiety from me?

I have a month old foxhound mix puppy 7. Is only about 5 days a week for up to 5 hours at a time. Their behavior is that of a normal puppy while I'm at home, occasionally I find a piece of paper torn in another room, but not too big of a problem. When I leave the story is different. He destroyed what I leave room in last week chewed my boyfriend's cell phone, smashed a cardboard box, chewed a CD case, and destroyed a laundry. I leave you with plenty of rawhide bones and toys, and even a kong filled with peanut butter, but nothing seems to help. Cries, even when I go to get the mail. I think it has great separation anxiety. Please let me know if you have been through the same problem and helped him. Any and all advice much appreciated!

I have a dog that used to do this. This is what I did. When I had time to what was going and stay out of door. About 5 minutes later back in. .. I would repeat and then make the time was getting longer. Always leave the TV or radio as seemed like we were home. give it a try. I hope it works

How I can show my dog what he did was inappropriate?

My dog just got on the table and ate a hamburger. Never done this before. My dad was very mad and very scared the dog. I would like to find a way to discourage this type of behavior, without hitting the dog on the rump or scream so loud that the neighbors awake. He is a 11-year old 13-inch beagle. Thanks!

you pretty much have to catch the dog in the act and correct him in time. The problem with stealing food is rewarding your self-behaved, and difficult to break. Hitting and yelling usually solves the problem. Work on the "leave it" command .. any food off tempting. have something better in your hand or pocket .. walking the dog on a leash close to the subject .. when you show an interest .. said that "what leave, "he gently pulled away from food, then praise and reward when he directed his attention to it .. work on this several times a day .. must at some time will be able to put food on somewhere, like the coffee table, and work on this with your dog off leash. Also train your dog to stay out of the kitchen when food and meals are prepared / eaten. diligient be for not leaving food unattended outside as well.

Have you given your dog a medicine for behavior?

My dog was recently prescribed psychotropic (Elavil) for behavior aggressive after an intense behavioral training was not entirely successful. If you have given your dog a medicine, which one and how it's going? I'm not interested in response if no direct experience, thanks in advance. Not really what I had in mind, concerned over a certain behavior med given daily but you can win by default:)

I'm not sure if this fits into what you are asking, but yes. My vet recommends giving Ace during storms and 04 July. My cream Pom (the one with sensitive ears) could not care less noise, but my one black becomes a nervous wreck and shaking uncontrollably.

I do not know what to do with my dog!?

My puppy 6 months old has separation anxiety. My boyfriend and I are trying to solve this problem, and we bought a box to stop their destructive behavior when we are not at home because of things such as work. Be who you are supposed to make the drawer a positive place for the dog to be, and seem to have a problem with it as long as the door is open, and getting better, even to the point of us being near him while he is there. However, as soon as we left the site begins to mourn and barking and will continue during the whole time we are gone. I need some advice on how to get all my puppy like being in a cage, even with the door closed. He walk right inside and outside and even lay down in that if the door is open, but as soon as you close that is the worst case scenario! We are trying many different methods, but are being no ideas!

His biggest mistake may be trying a million different things. Training requires consistance and patients. Have a plan and do your best to stay with it. The box is a good start. Since he looks good with it as a meeting place, start getting him used to having the door closed while you are sight. Little is silent treatment if a time, but released him immediately. NEVER let him out if you are doing. Come with a sound or word that is used as it means "Enough." I say "pssshhh" and my kids know. make the ends more as he gets used to it. Quietly open the drawer and not do much about it to exit. Wait a minute before speaking with him and play. Then begin to leave the room for a short time, while he is packed. Start walking in and out while cooking, cleaning, whatever. Make a sound if needed. Try not to come back if it participates in. Toys and candy in drawer make it the place to be! If you spend a weekend for crate training and really be with her, must be good. The trick is for you to be more specific and identify what it is. Most importantly, do not pay attention to faces and complaints pathetic! You cave of all time and have a puppy that rules of the house. Good luck, enjoy and dispose of me.
