I want to be a dog trainer as a side?

However, I'm seeing places offer full certification applicants professional career of law in dog training. I love dogs, and is an act to be understood and read much about the behavior dogs. I want to help homeowners adjust to living with your pet and vice versa, but I do not want to take a full semester of credit hours to do that .. Is there an easier, cheaper to obtain certification and / or have a commercial source of experience "I have two dogs and read" ..

I would suggest a local obedience club with their dogs, as a student. Even if the dog knows the basics, you can do more advanced training, or preparation the trial if they are purebred. If you have purebred dogs, their degrees of obedience to demonstrate that they have been trained well. Once you have a good amount of time training behind them, you can ask about attendance in classes (or you may ask, if think you have talent), and once you have attended enough classes the instructor can change. All this is voluntary, of course, and you pay for your classes (instructors and assistants but usually get their classes either for free or at a price reduced), but experience in teaching a wide variety of dogs and people in these classes will give you the credentials to create their own. Well, I do not know if that is cheaper or easier, but it's another way to go. Nothing is really worth is likely to be cheap or easy.

Help me train my dog not to be possessive, aggressive with other dogs?

Jack Russell is one you really need to get out and run at the lead the dog park. However, given a stick or a ball and play well with him for a while and try to get other dogs to chase, but if any approach to take time away from her, they're attacked. Is there anything we can do at home to correct their behavior, or even in the park? She is never aggressive with people, and she have fun at the park until it takes hold of something she says as his

    The dog's behavior? 'S work?

I just started working at a dog boarding / dog kennel (and supply store) and I that advice from the owners. No websites. What are common behaviors of dogs and dogs in kennels. For example: No dogs from day care, that come in every day for 6 hours, while people work. Everyone knows each other and are all in a boardroom. The owner (the kennel) I said not to go there and try to make friends or whatever, because dogs are attached – and will start to fight / Biing etc. Like that's the kind of things I want know. I am also a cat owner and the person, so I'm trying to do my research and learn more about dogs and dog behaviors, etc. is Any help appriciated, experiences, what not to do, so I'm not dumb dog, be a little, but I know as a cat-owner there's more I have to learn about of dogs! Thank you all! Ok …. please refrain from stupid answers here?

Not much to read dogs and understanding their behavior. It takes years of handling several dogs to be good at it. I hope someone is monitoring the dogs, leaving them unsupervised, and all together is asking for trouble. That is one of the problems with many nurseries, officials do not know what they are doing. That is not a reflection of you, and I know the owner, but if the dogs are alone, I'd be skeptical of what you learn from them.

      bad dog behavior growling
Why my friend's dog act so horrible and is something we can do to fix your bad behavior?

My friend has had her for about Lhasa Apso 8 years. Act friendly and will run until you play the first time they enter the house. Then it's getting rougher and tougher until you are trying to bite – hard. If you approach the laundry where the dog sleeps or even look in there while eating, began to growl and snarl. Once my friend was rocking him while he was in his room behind the baby gate. He got up as if he wanted to be petted. When he arrived he hand rub that bit harder. Although the house broken, has been accidents in the house for the last two years. The vet has no answer – only says it must be psychological problems.

I recommend you consult a professional behaviorist. This dog has serious issues surveillance resources as well as some provoked attacks of some sort that is impossible to identify just by reading its description. To get a professional to witness the dog's actions and interaction with others. This dog is just over half of your life … they want to solve these problems so that he and his friend can enjoy the rest of the other half.

          HELP! San Bernardo problems!?

My girlfriend has a St. Bernard of the Animal Rescue League a year ago. They said it was seven months old at the time. Who had said earlier that he "loves dogs and children", but not cats. Not true! He hates all dogs and lunges at them and barks frantically. (And children) Sometimes it's okay with strangers but you never know when it will launch. He will bark at the neighbors, children on bicycles and anything. It has been through training in the ARL. We've done "click" training, giving back when we see another dog, commands, etc. This dog seems untrainable and what we miserable b / c we can not take it to the park or anywhere for fear of their behavior. We love him so much but do not know what to do. He is neutered and can be very affectionate but sometimes you just start barking at my girlfriend running around in circles as if a burst of energy, but it gets plenty of exercise. He also likes to bite my sleeve when I see it. Can someone please help?!

Having a dog is released unexpectedly can be a very serious problem. If you have never bitten anyone, it would be a very bad situation for you, your family and your dog. He has done training, so their training can only hope additional specialist behavior. Talk to your vet and see if you can refer to a licensed veterinarian behaviorist. Otherwise if it is practical for you to keep within distance from other people and animals that may be all you can do. If this is not possible that you do, you may have to make some tough decisions. It is a large dog, and it can really hurt someone or animals, and that is something that can not afford to risk. I hope things her for you.

Why does my dog pushed his head between his legs?

I know the first thing I think is that is trying to smell me, but that's not at all. We will walk along and will walk to heel at my side and then suddenly going to push his head between his knees lol. I'm not sure what his conduct, if you just want attention / petting or fear or something else? If it helps, is a mixture of laboratory, a little over 1 year old male. What we rescue from a shelter on Saturday, but has settled perfectly. Hope someone can help with this behavior! :)

Congratulations for being so kind to rescue your dog and make him feel at home so soon. If you do not walk, I'd say it was looking for a pet / pat. I think he's trying to say something, but I do not know what could be – walk thirsty enough, the noise bothered me. Only encouraged when it does. He will learn to trust you completely and know he is fine if you relaxed. "It's a boy right, let's go" in a cheerful voice.

              Puppy advice please …?

I'm still not sure, but … I want a new dog. Either a puppy or an adult spuetered (beyond adolescent stage, plz.) But I'd rather have a puppy. I've never had a baby before, but … what is the difference between a puppy and an adult? That is, service capacity, bladder control, but what else? Should I use different training methods? (Usually I try to train, reward for good behavior, punish (the company "no!") to evil. As training ground not entirely positive, but I feel bad xD punish a baby. Also, I have ACD and my dad has a mix of pit (which is here a couple times a week). Well it is not at all DA, and ACD is not aggressive, crazy. Therefore, tips for presenting a new dog?

puppies are sweet and cuddly and cute but they are a lot of work. they bore easily and bladder control in the first months is almost nonexistent. although I have nothing against pitbulls (in fact I love them very expensive) you probably should not buy a puppy instead of having a dog that can be alpha and have accidents or situations with other animals. We hope this has been helpful. good luck.

Does anyone know any good books animal behavior / websites animal control officers?

I recently joined the ranks of the officers animal control in the state of Texas and I'm back for the whole field type. I am looking for a good resource for officials, like me, and I'm having a difficult time with him. There are several books cat and dog behavior in the market, but focuses more on pet owners, not officials, like me. I just want to make the best I can work and have no money for expensive training offered. My job will be to the formation of all of us more, but not until the budget this year. Any recommendations good?

I applaud you for wanting to get a better understanding. Not only will it help you deal with animals with least amount of stress for them, but could avoid being hurt too much. Really do not think there is a book all inclusive there. The best information is working with animals in the likely scenarios to believe or not come from rescue groups. You will find that work with certain species, dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals, reptiles. These groups are often in situations where the understanding of the behavior is a necessity.

I'm getting a cockapoo puppy, but before deciding on a genre that I know the differences in the typical behavior and personality (assuming sterilized whatever).

Cocker Spaniel / Poodle mix. There are no "rules" for mixtures. Depends on the dog.
