Did you know that dogs can catch a yawn contagious?

Fido's not just yawning – It has empathy LONDON (Reuters) – The dog yawns humans find contagious, suggesting they have a rudimentary capacity for empathy, scientists said on Wednesday. Although yawning is widespread in many animals, contagious yawning – a yawn triggered by seeing others yawning – has previously only been shown to occur in humans and chimpanzees. It is, however, man's best friend is highly sensitive to the capture of human yawns, with 72 percent of 29 dogs tested yawning after observing a person to do so. Writing in the journal Biology Letters, Atsushi Senju and colleagues at Birkbeck College London, said this behavior showed dogs were skilled at reading the signs social and human rights "may be related to their capacity for empathy." http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/oukoe_uk_dogs_yawning; _ylt = AnJXcoRYA4EUZ2HtlAngOKHtiBIF

What should I do with a little English Setter, who has behavior problems?

Hi all, I have this 4.5 months of age my English Setter friend, but he does not know how to train a dog, and I can not, so I went looking for dog training tips online. If possible I say proven methods effectiveness, and if you wish, put them in my articles that I started helping people with the same problem. Do not worry if you do not want to share the tip on my blog with others people just put an 'I' (yahoo-only) at the beginning of your response. :) Thanks for your help. http://the-dog-behavior-problem.blogspot.com/

You can train your dog yourself. It is not difficult if you take the time to study methods of dog training. See if you can find the book .. Good Dog, Dog Malo, by Matthew Margolis and Eric Siegel .. It's an old book, but it all has to teach your dog basic obedience. I recommend you learn the dog training base yourself, because you better understand your dog and be able to reinforce the training as needed.

Do you have a science fair project good ideas?

I'm an eighth grader who is currently doing a project for the science fair. I thought of some ideas, but they are all too easy, so it is not interesting. I really need help to find new ideas for my project. I have been so time just looking everywhere for good, but still have not found one yet. Please give me is not too easy, but it should not be too also difficult. Must be something in life sciences, earth sciences, or physics. Do not give me things like: Does music affect behavior animal? What kind of food prefer dogs? Does music affect plant growth? Do not give me those, it may be too irrelevant for my class. Thanks for helping!

How about comparing the amount of bacteria in different places? Do you swab different places (doorknob, kitchen table desk, school, toilet seats etc …) and then deposit the bacteria in each place in its own dish of agar (culture medium for bacteria) and after a few days you should have several bacterial colonies of different sizes. That's a very simple idea to begin with, but you can build off of it and make it more specific (eg different animal testing or classification of bacteria whether to have a microscope). Let me know if you want more tips on it. Agar plates are cheap and easy to find.

Does anyone else find his constant apologizing for the dog's behavior?

I have a very aggressive looking GSD X, she is jet black with great big eyes and gold she has been compared to dogs like Scooby-Doo and Marmaduke dog Hound of the Baskervilles, although it would never hurt anyone on purpose. Loves to run off leash but if a person is going to walk toward them until I call her back, and always I have to apologize to people if it seemed scared. When you do meet someone, it can be very excited and lick all her legs, so once again I have to apologize. If he barks at someone, I have to ask apologies. And if she throws the cat from someone, I'm behind her apologizing over and over again. She goes to training so that you do not need people telling me that his train, but no one is that its always apologizing to people for something that your dog has done?

Oh Wow! Everyone in yahoo has a perfectly trained dog! Fun that never seem to work in these dogs! I have 5 dogs and they are all well trained, but they all have there moments. Yes, my beagle mix is ??very friendly and Clyde after 4 times being told to sit down, I end up apologizing! In fact, if you have a dog that does not show emotions that have a miserable dog! Even if the lead the training is patience, she will get better. It just takes some time and even the best trained dogs can still do things that are going to do and grrrrr!

What is the difference b / w the dog and cat behavior?

I think the cat is cute and do not behave like a hunter and the dog.

I think cats are friendly guy who is the reason I find them near the alley but the dogs seem to be of different bark

Use bottled water jet treatment of dogs behavior?

What do you think about this? I have a problem with my old one westie years constantly barking in the house. I heard from someone to get a spray bottle and fill with water and squirts it (not on the face or anything) when the acts above. We tried not to, but hit a stage where they do not care for "no." any opinion?

I use it on my dogs (and cats) when your nose into something they should not be in. As long as you do not shoot the water in the face or ears, is very effective and safe.

Wolf-dogs in Texas? Legal? Why or why not should the people of their property?

Is it legal to own half-wolf in the state of Texas? What are some websites that could give me info on them, such as: Performance, costs, special needs (hygiene, space, food, etc) if you have one it is? I understand they need more care than dogs. Do you approve half-wolf is the property? Why or why not?

Wolves and wolf hybrids are not included in the list of dangerous exotic animals. So are legal in the state level. The statement only mentions that required to have a rabies vaccine. However, many counties and towns have their own laws. You need to check your state and local laws.
