dog behavior running in circles

My dog is obsessed with running and whining outside.?
A few weeks ago, my dog found the nest of a rabbit. We saved the rabbits but never sense, has been running in circles out like a crazy fool. She will run for hours round and round the courtyard, wailing and barking to nothing. She comes inside only when force, and even then it panting near exhaustion. It is up to the point that I think is not even enjoy the outdoors. I'm not sure if I should be worried, or if the behavior will disappear. She is driving me crazy! All ideas that might help? She is a puggle, beagle average half pug. And his nose to the ground all the time looking for the rabbits are gone. I keep telling him to give it up (as to understand .. lol) but she will not listen. And As to "go play with it," it would be nice if we allow it. All 3 of my children were with her and she ignores them and just run and sniff and whine.
Well, I do not know how to make a complete stop, I was having the same problem, but you can soften it a bit. Try to relax your dog before anything. Also about creating external distractions, like a tennis ball or chew toy, or a large leather package (the bones). is very important that you not show your dog your stress they are stressed too, and my dog ??is very annoying when stressed! Hope this helped! : D
