My dog gets into things when we're home! How I can get him to stop?

My husband and I adopted a dog 3-4 years old last October, and love to pieces! She is a great dog, but sometimes when we are not home it will make things and chew on them and find them on the floor or somewhere where they put on. For example, I took Scrubs Season 2 DVD from the shelf and chewed a little. She has taken our bag of dice and dice scattered across the floor, but never eaten. We do not know how to correct this behavior, since it only does when not at home. We try to keep everything that is not when we leave. Sometime we forget, sometimes only manages to get into something (like DVD and dice). We do not like the idea of ??locking her in a cage, while we are gone. So what can we do?

I understand that you do not like the idea of ??putting in a cage, crate training can be very beneficial not only for you and your belongings but also your dog. Hours obviously not good for extended her to be in a drawer, but shorter are not hurt. It is much better for her than the ingestion of the things that can be harmful to them. Also, dogs need their own space. My dogs go to their boxes themselves for a nap when he hears want. It appears that you have a very curious dog, and even the most well educated and trained dogs forget their manners when unsupervised. Crate training is the safest, fastest, most logical thing to do.

my dog pees in the house only when I'm not home. How I can avoid this behavior?

Hire a dog walker. Training the drawer is a good idea. I heard the dogs after getting used to a kennel, you will. It makes them feel safe when you are away. He may be acting cause it misses. Do not punish the dog only makes him scared of you.

Aggressive, sometimes pointed collar, choke or Halti?

My dog is a pit bull mastiff mix of 15 months of age, usually a love. He goes to daycare puppy and play with 30 dogs twice a week without any problems. Play with the dogs in the backyard of my house and is generally submissive. But sometimes if you are in the elevator or the lobby and sees a dog leash, especially smaller ones, literally trying to kill them. Hell jump and go crazy though who knows and played with them. This usually happens with dogs that start with it and the bark on it. First, if you release is going to kill the other dog. Now I have a thin necklace and doesn't do much and I have fear to be adjusted. What kind of necklace that I use. Also, any suggestiion to change their behavior?

This is the problem of belt? Some dogs may be afraid if they are on leash and not feel limited to protect themselves. You have to call a number of instructors and explain your situation in as much detail as possible. Do you also occur in the lobby of the dog daycare? What happens when you are walking on the leash down the street or in the park? Why do you think will kill the other dog? Is there barking, grunting, growling, ears back, hair standing on end? While looking for a coach to help understand the problem, you need to get a collar of leather or heavy-duty nylon with a strong belt. If you are really concerned, you can get a basket muzzle. The problem with a choke collar or the blade is not quite understand the situation and may make it worse one of those. Until you understand what's happening, it is necessary to prevent will cause damage to escape you. Tie the belt around your waist if you must use a strap or double (one at the waist, another in the hand). Avoid the elevator and take a long detour for small yappy dogs. If he is a very sensitive dog, a splash of Binaca on the tongue or in a cloud in front of your face (no, but in front) takes you to your senses. Some people use a can of compressed air and others use hair spray (which is the glue and not recommended). Dogs do not like the hiss of air so it could give it a try in the meantime, if you meet the yappy.

My dog urine when I get home and sometimes escapes?

I worry that this behavior may be because you are trying to show his submissive position. I've never hit my dog and has been crate trained, but apparently has absolutely no confidence that come in to him after receiving the pet school or work. He jumps on me and lick it once and then run away. Sometimes, even urine, for me and my boyfriend. They both showed a series command and the rest is a very well behaved dog, but … He likes to pee. We thought maybe this could be excitable urination, but again, we're not sure! We do some activities to promote confidence and is a happy dog, but it's like once you get home can not contain. I'm thinking he escapes to the back patio because he feels he has to go and knows not to pee on the carpet.

I had the same problem with my dog. I asked my vet and was told to ignore the dog for a few minutes and when they settle a bit after playing with them. It worked well for my dog. Also, do not yell for him, because that would make it worse. It's something should eventually disappear. I would try this for a couple of weeks and if it does not work, call your vet and maybe have more suggestions.

How I can get my dog to stop being so mean to children?

My chihuahua is very well socialized – prefers children but heated people very quickly. Whenever I have a boyfriend, he is kind to them at first, as long as they are good people (I think that dogs are a fairly judge good character), but the second we begin to embrace or kiss, he gets mad and starts to bark at them. If it gets any worse, start trying to bite! What are some behavior modification tricks you can use to get you to stop doing this? I tell them to stop, to pull, and when all else fails sent to another room – but it's still embarrassing! Any advice?

Your dog is possessive about you. Sometimes a bad thing. He sees you and his wife, as they have bonded. As for trying something else, Id suggest to be very firm with him before things get more serious (attack). Also man may feel you are getting is dangerous or not true and wants to protect. Definitely trust your dog as a judge on his own. Be very severe with him and say no, that's not right. Be very consistent. is shameful, but a dog is better protection after losing his life or end up in the hospital due to a physical attack you.

Has anyone had success with a vibration / shock collar dog training?

I have one year old female rottie very hyper 2 having misbehavior have to look at cars on the road chasing the other side of the fence, and now my horses going crazy sisters on the other side of the fence. She does not answer to anyone when a distraction is there and you can not approach it takes off and then back to the barking mad. I would try a vibration / shock collar that is activated by remote control to break fixation and make them listen, because nothing else has worked. Has anyone else used this in the formation of a hard to train dogs? Are safe when used responsibly? I do not want to hurt her, but his behavior is going to get hurt if she leaves her and get in the pen of horses horses of his absence. And it is getting worse in fixing vehicles and larger animals such as better not get used to them being there. Any suggestions would be large. She also has an acre of garden that she has plenty of room to run only so hyper though.

I refuse to use them. Try classical conditioning, operant conditioning and talk to a behaviorist. You can actually make performance worse if you're not careful. If things come wrong to wear a collar with citronella spray. They work on the same principle, but do no harm to the dog.
