In your opinion, what is the best breed of dog?

KI is considering buying a dog. I was curious on your opinion, what was the best breed of dog in terms of age, behavior, training, and appearance?

Tat is a difficult question, because all races have their own characteristics and needs. Everything a personal preference and depends on what you're waiting to get our of your pet. Outdoor activities with a large amount of exercise? A partner for the interior? A traveling companion? It also depends on whether you're in an apartment or house with a large patio. If you are unsure, start investigating the various races, starting with the size that is right for you and your environment and lifestyle. And go from there.

How to leave your dog with separation anxiety barking?

Well, I've taken a guard dog and it seems that separation anxiety horrible. As soon as it is packed not stop barking begins. You can not eat or accept any treatment for their moments of good behavior and makes is very difficult to praise when it finally is silent. He had so I can not leave the house, but when we are out it gets plenty of exercise and loves to be around me … But I can not deal with this incessant barking of the two remaining weeks until your next appointment with the vet to make sure that the lonely are gone. I try to leave your favorite type of bones there with him, but that does not keep him busy, or quiet. I've never had this problem before! Any suggestions?

Besides the bones, which may be left with him his favorite toy with your scent, or something else (like a garment) with its smell in it. Being able to smell next (even if not) can help calm him. Also, turn the fan can help create white noise to drown out any disturbing noise you can hear in other locations, such as floors, crunchy horns transit, etc.

          Dog Behavior Problems?

My family went on vacation for a week ago. Since we returned, we realized that my dog has been very energetic. We have also noticed that whenever you leave her alone in the house, she has been getting into things and poop on the floor. When we got home today, had eaten a whole loaf of bread, chewed some boxes, pulled a bag of grass seed, and poop on the floor. Today, they had not gone more than a hour. My father is willing to get rid of it. Does anyone know of a remedy for this situation? She is a Border Collie mix and she is just one year and a half old. We've got a friend of my mother, and we may have been abused / neglected. Thank you. Thank you all for your advice, I'll let the voters decide the best response.

Sounds like a mixture of separation anxiety and boredom. Border Collies are smart dogs of high energy. She may just need toys and more exercise. Separation anxiety is more difficult to cure. Try to give your room or space that is their "safe place". My dog ??got really stressed out, unless it is packed when I left. He knew that his case was his safe place and I would be back to let him out. If you can not do that, try let stand for 5 minutes at a time. You need to build confidence are returning to the exit. Walking toward the door, get your things and you'll then set everything and do it repeatedly. So the dog sleeps stressed out just by seeing the signs that may be out of the house. Expected to be insensitive to the sound of the keys tinkling, or wear a jacket and grab your stuff before you go. The key is to minimize stress and increase confidence that they are returning.

Some dogs lick pillows and other dogs they are in use, or even to their owners. It smells like the owner or the dogs and that "clean" fondly. My dog ??sleeps on the pillow of dog in the living room and licks. I would not worry about it!

I need serious answers only aggressive behavior problems in a beagle who was adopted from the Humane Society?

I have had three hounds in the past, but all have been in old age. On September 15, adopted a beagle from my local pound. At first, showed some signs of aggression when he approached his chew toys grunts. In a few days passed, he began to exhibit more serious aggression. I spent much time trying to teach to give me what I had and reward when he dropped all his request. Today was a tray of food with some leftovers. After finishing, we proceeded to chewing and my husband and I each tried to remove it. It was an attack and not lose the tray. Due to the fact that we have a 6 year old son, returned the dog back to the Humane Society. I'm torn between protecting my family and the fact that we have adhered to Buddy. I do not know if I did the right thing because this dog has been returned by the previous 2 owners. Indicate what you do in this situation. I am heartbroken and please no crude comments.

Do not let that Humaniacs believe that all dogs must be kept regardless of circumstances or dangers to your child, make you feel bad. You did the most favorable for the safety of your child. For my part, I'm glad you put the safety of her first child and took the dog before something bad happened. I do not know why other people can not understand why it was better than returned a carnivorous pack animal has shown aggression towards you and your husband. I guess I would have been better to wait until your child was bitten, then they could reprimand and insult to have a dangerous dog and failing to protect her son. Also, for those of you comparing a child to a dog, I just want to note that there a big difference between the two and a child is not a dog or a comparable. I am sorry you had that experience with a dog from a shelter, I know I tend to stick with a dog fairly quickly, but it really should not have taken this dog to anyone because of the danger it poses. Shelters should focus on the adoptable dogs and aggressive dogs put to sleep instead of trying to save every dog ??that comes in, because not all dogs can be saved. Take comfort in the fact that your child is safe, he made the right decision when he returned the dog to not second guess yourself and not feel guilty.
