I brought a second dog in my house … how long before my first dog returns to normal behavior?
My first dog is 1.5 years old silky terrier brought male and male only 12 weeks old and silky in the house. My first dog is tolerating the new dog and sometimes has very short bursts of play with the new dog, but his behavior has changed. Sometimes it seems depressed and naps with us. Actually seems to be less active. The only time that is good is when he is out of the house for walks. Again, that is not fighting with the dog again, but would like to know when things may return to normal? My first dog is again Just a year and a half. Thanks for any help
Your dog may act the way they used to after a short time, but his first dog has dominant act and will not play as much as to use. This shows its class rule as the dogs playing with toys is a bit immature. Go for a ride that's because what seem to excite him and give him special attention because you can feel the puppy is getting more attention.

Is it possible that my dog has a mental disorder?
I have a three year old Japanese Chin called monster really like me But it shows a strange behavior. that circles endlessly! She circled around the table or couch 50 times what you do when your walking and do in the yard when she is out. I've always tried to teach her basic commands like "sit" or "leg", but she has never picked up and my other two dogs. even the bark is outside dosnt sound like a dog at all! is like a strange song almost. she may be mentally retarded? or maybe with autism? my monster <3 http://hphotos-snc3.fbcdn.net/hs284.snc3/27866_1274351430853_1591958379_30598189_7741760_n.jpg has always done this .. and when I met her was a puppy in the street, so I guess its possible that he could head injuries.
untrained maybe, maybe not enough exercise, OCD maybe, maybe the owner is not equipped with training dogs but … dogs are often a reflection of its owner … mental retardation and autism are issues not Dog issues

Urinating dog behavior change?
During 6 months, my puppy (now 10 months old) has been peeing in the same tree 3-5 times a day. Suddenly, he does not urinate there. Now I have him walk across the street to the lawn for him to pee. Besides, has begun to move away before peeing. I took him to the vet and tested to confirm that he had a urinary tract infection and said this is a matter of behavior. I have no idea why I started doing this, but I can not get to urinate on the same tree. As for urinating and walking thing is a crap shoot. Sometimes it does, sometimes he did not. Any thoughts on this sudden change in behavior? I've had it 6 months but is 10 months and neutered Moreover, this tree is almost urinated all dog living in my apartment high-rise … which is much
Has been neutered yet. The dogs go threw the same hormonal changes that a teenager does. He may be simply a desire to "make" a larger area.

Is there a change of behavior in dogs if the mother and female sterilization keep intact male puppy?
I have a female husky 3 I just have 5 puppies. We were thinking about sterilization it (is it necessary for sterilization at that age?) We are also thinking to maintain a male pup for us and we want to keep it intact. Is that a problem?
When we say "only" had puppies … how recently? Not been sterilized until the puppies are weaned completely obvious. Other than that, it should not be too much of a problem. It is still necessary to sterilize their age.

Science Q? is a dog rolling over for a treatment ususally an inherited trait?
or is a learned behavior of its owner?
It is a learned behavior. The dog learns that if you perform a certain action, is rewarded with a gift.

My girlfriend's dog always barks at me, how I can do I like?
My girlfriend's pet dog always barks. Even pounced on me the other day, as if threatening to bite. Not like many people around, even barks at my girlfriend's parents when she is not around! How I can train this dog that I like? Or, I can trick it to my liking using candy or food? What is a humane and compassionate start to get comfortable with me, and stop barking to me? If this helps to explain his conduct, please note that this dog used to live alone with my girlfriend at home, and he did not know to anyone until years later when he moved back to his people. It seems that distrust and oppose others.
S to be protective about their girlfriend to spend some time alone with him and play with it brings and throw a ball and every time he brings back that is giving a treatment called conditioning at any time it is considered a minor threat and more of the herd

Christians: If being gay is considered unnatural and ungodly, why are there gay animals?
Here is just a small list of animals have shown that same-sex behavior: African Elephant, Panda Bear, Brown Rat, Buffalo, Caribou, Cat (domestic), Cheetah, common dolphin, Common Marmoset, Common raccoon dog (domestic), European Bison. For a list of more animals and information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_animals_displaying_homosexual_behavior yes, I realize that does not include all gay animals out there … but that's not the point of this issue.
The bonobo, well … Do not seek logic of these people … They condemn homosexuality as "unnatural" and not what the Creator wanted for men and women "…. yet, take the plastic surgery with indifference and even access to synthetic drugs …

Dog DNA testing, have you tried?
I have a mixture of lab and I think she is a lab mix. We're not really sure what is or how old it really is, but recently I've been thinking about getting your DNA test for his ancestry. I love her and want to know more about it, because I really help me understand their behavior, some of its physical qualities, and know what diseases to look for when I'm older. I just want to know has anyone tried this for your own dog? Apparently, that seems so simple mouth swab, send, and retrieve results. Logan really looks like a lab, but she has a layer wire and it is so small, sometimes just dump 40 pounds. She is a great dog and I do not know if you find other races that make me think differently of it. If you have any conjecture, let me know: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=5789488&albumID=1148437&imageID=38446496
DNA tests are so easy and can be done in any dog. There are a lot of fun, but the bank is not in the results right. I have read some results other peoples' dogs and the list usually comes back with a lot of different races. Many of them rare, obscure, or not normally found in that region. I've seen Results of a dog 35 pounds he said was a mini pin chihuahua mix. I would go by it anyway, I'm half tempted to send in my DNA for purebreds only laughter. Oh, and my guess is for laboratory beagle puppy. She looks mostly lab, but I saw a little dog in his face and can account for more size small

Holistic Guide for a Healthy Dog (Howell reference books) (Paperback)
Amazon.com Review
Finding nutritional data for dogs can be a difficult business–and while much of the information in Holistic Guide for a Healthy Dog is presented by anecdote, there’s still plenty of worthwhile reading here. Aimed at dog owners that are already fairly committed to nonallopathic forms of health care for their pets, much of the book is based around author Wendy Volhard’s Natural Diet. The Natural Diet is fairly labor intensive, as Volhard is the first to ad (more…)
