My dog is in heat sterilized?
He was only 6 months old when he set last month, is now 7 months. Why is heat? She was not like before surgery, so it's not as if he knew the previous behavior. She is not bleeding, but has a certain stuffed animal likes to attack and jump on a certain way and you can tell your breathless and reaction … Well, that really seems to be in heat! Not every day, but a couple of times a week or less.
Please provide details of why you think is in heat? When shelters get dogs spayed and the vet removed Overie entire uterus and both, making it impossible for her to warm up after surgery. Please your dog to the vet immediately!

Is it normal that my dog likes to sunbathe in the summer?
My black labrador dog likes to go out and standing in the way of concrete during the summer. Do most of dogs to do that and I'm anxious to see if his behavior normal? I really like it usually bark a couple of times and he just wants out exposed to sunlight. I wonder if I should worry about it overheating because of its black coat asborb all that heat. never showed concern only superheated Overall I think because of his black coat. Good to know, although it is normal. Just let him out for up to 5-10 minutes so it probably would not have enough time off overheating
Dogs need about 2 hours in the sun all day. It helps the vitamin D they need naturally. All 4 of mine out the street and take the sun, either on the patio or in the grass.

Submissive behavior in my dog please help!?
Please help I recently had a 2 year old male cocker spaniel neautured was beaten as a puppy and I'm more or less home room and I love him to bits. But he has a submissive behavior such as rolling on his back often and look at me and shows your teeth, but appears to be a fun way, last night jumped into my lap and lets you play and fightingly bit my cheek. I said no and bed and he does what is always says, doing this to play alone or dominate me. Also when it shrinks urinated nervous and excited and often. If I'm paying attention to my own dog trying to push out but not in a fierce all and is a westie age 6, had given her a puppy. Never or rarely growls or barks, but will growl my 2 male cats, because they arn't interested in him, but he likes my cat and she does not mind. I'm taking classes weekly dog, but all other information would be helpful. Thank you very much
I had two cocker spaniel in my life, a lot of experience with race. Zoe, my 12 years of old spaniel is also very submissive. She used to pee on emotion and fear. It does not and has grown out of it, but it took a couple of years. Spaniels are trend referred to specifically. Now there are some things you can do specific training. When Zoe was afraid to walk over a bridge, I took her to a walk every day for years for this bridge. She's not afraid to walk over a bridge. So I guess you get the idea. Some dogs are shown teeth when they are afraid, cocker spaniel sometimes bite out of fear. It is something that must be addressed immediately! No violence, physical assault or the dog needs to be told, no, Always do things so that you are not satisfied with it. As soon as it stops the behavior could be rewarded with the game or a treat. Since you has another dog, I'm sure you are aware of these things anyway. I've been told by my Vet time over the years, who were warned in a veterinary school never turn away from Cocker. They call them cookies! Especially since they bite in fear. This is something that can be rectified, mine do not bite in fear. But I've had since they were puppies, and have made a point of taking things out of his mouth is, removing toys between their legs. Waving their dishes to eat. I have come to understand my cockers more than twenty-four years I met my first dog and now my second. I think they're delicate little souls if not treated are sad little souls. It looks like If your Cocker is trying to be dominant, should not allow the dog to push her out of the way Westie. They should know their place and it sounds as if your trying to find it. My Cocker is fine with cats, but especially likes one of them, which is very soft. They sleep near each other. Cockers require much preparation, once a week or more if 're doing to yourself. Ear cleaning once a week, your ears tend to infections. If you do not want to deal with the same grooming, make sure that shave your dog twice a year or more. Cockers require much maintenance! Good Luck

False pregnancy in dogs?
My dog is 18 months old, had his first season in about 9 months old and went on to have a false pregnancy. During this time completely changed its nature, she went from a happy, loving dog, friendly in the house (outside their nature is still very easy) to a monster who would growl, bark and growl at everyone in the home! When the fake pregnancy ended we would be back to normal, but his behavior was maintained well, although sometimes she is still loving and friendly. She was arrested to be sterilized, but unfortunately the season was 3 days before the op! Now she is having another false pregnancy and possessiveness and aggression is twice as bad! Can anyone advise me on the best action to take to get back to such happy, loving dog, friendly once again. Thanks. Ps you will be getting spayed in early February
False pregnancy is a natural phenomenon that occurs 6-8 weeks after of the season. This trait is inherited from the wolf dog's ancestry – the non-alpha female adults in the packs of wolves in captivity are pseudopregnant after each season dogs in the same way they are. – What is the point of pseudopregnancy? One or more females pseudopregnant in a package can be advantageous for pregnant alpha female. If she can not feed their pups because they are sick, injured or killed, the pseudo-pregnant females could handle breastfeeding and the puppies do not starve. While every dog ??will develop a slight (mostly invisible) the production of milk, some people experience a large breast development and maternal behavior aggressive. False pregnancies are the cause of breast cancer is the most common cancer in dogs are not sterilized. It is one of the very good reason to spay a bitch before first season. It is important to stop this as soon as possible and prevent their recurrence. Treatment is with a drug called Galastop and prevention through sterilization. You'll get Galastop consult your local veterinarian. It is also important not to promote behavioral and physiological manifestations False pregnancy – no toys – no ventral abdomen massage dog – to provide a reasonable amount of water and food but no more than before false pregnancy best of luck, Julien

Why is my dog that shows this behavior?
I have a little heater under my desk because my feet are always cold. My Border Collie (7/male old) was sitting by the heater that kept the heat to get to my feet. When I tried to pull off the road, I groaned. He has never me growled before. Why would a stray dog ??that gets up with me every morning at 5 am show bad behavior?
Honestly I was probably being bad mood, my dogs, so people around the plate heat b / c love just bask in the warmth, and his son was probably having fun. Now, this behavior growling can also be a challenge to his rule. If it does it again or service, you may just need to work with him in restoring you are the boss, all time, no questions asked. If you need advice send me an email to shespeaksbark@yahoo.com and I can send a pdf with some suggestions. If you're worried about that the next time you are sharing the heater, you can always cut a strap on the neck and give it a gentle tug to get up and off the road.

When dogs are in heat, is what they tend to be aggressive with other dogs?
I have a month old boxer 8 puppies, and a year-old pit bull 3. They love each other, and rarely get in fights. Both have good temperaments and are rarely aggressive to one another. Recently, my puppy has been very aggressive (I'm not very sure what word to put ..) cutting my pit bull. We're thinking that maybe the puppy is in heat right now (not sterilized). The same applies to the nasty bitches sometimes with other female dogs when in heat? His behavior is starting to concern me the pit bull is fixed
Yes And if you do not get both dogs neutered that could lead to more serious problems and some bad fights. Your boxer is increasingly dominate the only way to stop this is making her / them spayed.
Add: Well, even if the APBT is fixed, you still have dominance issues b / c they are women, and the boxer fails is fixed.
