How to train a pit bull obedience without having to pay a coach?

I have a month old pit bull 10, knows "sit" when he wants. it does not listen to my boyfriend or I can say nothing. when the door is open to the darts, eat all my furniture, who prefers to choke himself when we walk to walk calmly at a normal rate, jumps on people, digs holes in our fence and the neighbors get too excited when he meets new people. he is the friendliest dog in the world, we are expecting a baby and I can not handle his behavior with the new baby.

Dogs are not going to listen to you unless you prove that you are his leader. The first thing to do is show he is doing something wrong. Get a spray bottle and fill it with tap water. When the dog does something that do not want it, spray it. Then say the word "No" or use another word that can be used each time to show it is doing something wrong. As for the problem walk with him, you should buy a Prong / pinch collar. This will not hurt the dog bite just a little so he does not know to go so fast. In addition, the word "Bad Boy" is something commonly used today. Help a little, to reinforce the word "No" and to show obedience dog. When the dog does something wrong and not see it, then say so. Say it in a tone that sounds like you really are the boss. If not then just going to think your playing with him and he did not learn a thing.

How I can show my dog what he did was inappropriate?

My dog just got on the table and ate a hamburger. Never done this before. My dad was very mad and very scared the dog. I would like to find a way to discourage this type of behavior, without hitting the dog on the rump or scream so loud that the neighbors awake. He is a 11-year old 13-inch beagle. Thanks!

you pretty much have to catch the dog in the act and correct him in time. The problem with stealing food is rewarding your self-behaved, and difficult to break. Hitting and yelling usually solves the problem. Work on the "leave it" command .. any food off tempting. have something better in your hand or pocket .. walking the dog on a leash close to the subject .. when you show an interest .. said that "what leave, "he gently pulled away from food, then praise and reward when he directed his attention to it .. work on this several times a day .. must at some time will be able to put food on somewhere, like the coffee table, and work on this with your dog off leash. Also train your dog to stay out of the kitchen when food and meals are prepared / eaten. diligient be for not leaving food unattended outside as well.

I am with him and my children at all times and but I do not mind being charged the bathroom door .. hahaha … like a stalker when I'm there and is annoying when I'm out of sight. I follow the advice dog whisperer .. but I'm not familiar with what to do. Sounds like I'm the pack leader or he?

Definitely head of the pack … but he will grow out of it and begin to challenge you later.

I live in Canada and want to study the behavior of dogs and become a coach of an idea?

Okay so I'm 17, turning March 18. I'm very curious where I can find places where I can get a certificate of some sort to become a dog trainer and possibly a dog behaviorist (or just dog study) .. I have no intention of taking a course in Vet Tech, because that's not going to help me, but I'm thinking inside and outside about to take in college, but it's really undecided. so, does anyone know anywhere in Canada, or someone can contact me sometime soon to get some information on training and study of dog behavior. Thank you very much:) ps i did not mean that training in pet stores, I mean dog training to be trusted.

Check here: http://www.casinstitute.com/dipabst.html After receiving my degree in veterinary technology, I'm going for the Diploma of Animal Behavior Science and Technology. They had a diploma in nutrition and fitness for dogs, but do not know what happened to him. To become an expert on proper canine behavior, you must be a veterinarian. Courses are occasionally offered for veterinary technicians, and specialties, but for the average person does not think there's anything beyond certification courses, etc. Good luck! :)

I have a half year old female Pekingese March and not play.?

I wanted her to have a litter of kittens before having her spayed. But he will have nothing to do with another dog. Does anyone know why and is this normal behavior for a dog? His picture is in my blog 360. I do not understand why some of you are throwing me for wanting a litter of puppies of my pet. I am a pet owner, very responsible and their puppies were for me, not abandoned in an alley dark or sell for profit. So back off! I want to thank everyone who gave me valuable advice. I really appreciate your time and effort to help me. But for those who insulted me and stupid because I love my pets and others like them would want me to say that we respect their right to disagree with me, but do not insult me. Not I have hard feelings, but I gave the thumbs down. Rarely do that, but sorry.

Well you can not call her a bitch thats for sure. Perhaps only waiting for mr right not mr right now. The Libra dog adoption – behavior question?

This question is for anyone who has taken a pound before. I looked at a boy of 2-3 years of laboratory today in the kennels. Was very high energy and barked like crazy when I came to the kennel and when I put him back. But he was a charm when I accompanied him. The lady at the kennel, said his barking hyper behavior could be just the stress of the kennel. Someone who has taken a laboratory pound found this to be true. Or would I be signing up for a dog that barks continuusly while I'm at work and "bounces on the walls? Be all dogs are not the same. But I wonder how the extreme stress may actually be the kennel, or is it who is it?

First, make a backround check. pounds workers ask him and how he deals with the other dogs there. I have my dog from the pound when she was 2. I had urination problems great and was very anxious to ride. we almost pulled across the street. when we brought him home, set within a week. yes my puppy had kennel stress 2. well, its ur choice but I would take him home and try it out. GIVE THE DOG A CHANCE BEFORE U doubt it! GOOD LUCK.

Dog behavior? Barking? Schipperke information?

Our family just adopted a Schipperke. We're taken to an obedience class, does pretty well, except … barks a lot. He barks a lot to have to put a barricade around us to be quiet. What you should know, is just the way stop barking. Also everyone knows Schipperke, PLEASE tell me. We really need more information about stoping Schipperke with bark. Many thanks! All I can say TREMENDOSLY help me!

… first you have to find a cause of the barking. a way you can teach your dog to stop barking is to give some kind of "quiet" command. Do not scream … not react very well to that. … You can also omit the [dog barking is] angry … and thanks to your dog when it stops barking. that teaches what you like the peace and respond to it and

First time questions?

I have really wanted to adopt a dog in the near future, and I have some questions for dog owners: What flea / tick / hearworm medicine has proved more effective and what are the approximate annual cost of the same for a medium sized dog? How to discipline your dog? I've heard everything from "shouting to the dogs" "Hit with a rolled up newspaper", "Step on the legs if he jumps." "Never use corporal punishment "" use a shake can "" do not use negative reinforcement at all, just use praise for good behavior and ignore misbehavior "Obviously I can not just ignore my dog if he starts destroying the furniture so what the owners of newspapers considered appropriate punishment? How much is a time-first welfare check for a medium sized dog? Feel free to give any other advice, I'm all ears. Of course I have my shopping list together, and I have chosen the shelter I check out, and I decided that I prefer dogs that are medium to large (40-60 lbs) but not extra large or small.

and can respond to your flea / tick / heartworm medication is that I finally found Heartguard be the best for heartworm and frontline Plus to be good for fleas and ticks. =]] Now your dog discipline, trust me on this … because my whole Life is about dogs and I do not lol all there is no information on them … NEVER step or beaten with something … This is not true! Now if your dog gets into the trash … and you find it, just take it away, make sure you see what you did and say "No! Bad boy!" in a stern voice and give a little swat on the ass … that so it does not hurt, but he does not know how to do it again. If your dog jumps on you lot … just ignore it, it will eventually stop trying because what is to achieve from your jump is to call your attention … so if you do not give him any attention and pretend hes there, time stands still .. but not immediately. No knee or yell at your dog when he greets you with a jump, simply turn away and ignore it until it feels, then slowly health, retirement greetings, increasing your excitement. To praise good behavior, all you have to do is say "Good Boy!" and give a little love, if you want. If you have a problem with your dog chewing furniture … sprays are very similar to this – http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/product_detail.aspx?item_guid=48DD527D-1FF5-4751-BF11-98417A8C1F36&click=124&mf=2 it's safe for your house / furniture, and pets … and its taste is unpleasant for your dog used to do more. =]] A check for wellniess first half – dog size can vary anywhere from $ 25 – $ 120 usually … depending on your veterinarian. I would also recommend a good size, fenced yard that your dog regularly can run without problems in playing with toys that can get their energy out … a lot of dogs develop problems like chewing, digging, barking a lot, especially if you can not get their energy out. In addition, I had to walk normal daily =]] I would suggest Foodwise Science Diet hard food, since it is the best, healthiest dog food out there! I can use this dog food for my dog and she loves him (and hes a picky eater = P) not is a good thing to change the brand of dog food a lot. This can lead them to become ill. = / You should also always have a limit of time each day to give attention to your dog, or you may feel neglected. This time could also be "training time" that both can wait too. In addition, usually when a dog goes to his new home for the first time, they want to be alone in an isolated … so sure there is a corner or a place you can go for a while until warm up. I would put a bed in that facility. And I would get used to your surroundings before you start to pet and hug him and stuff. The dog may be rebellious or aggressive, if you do that. But at the same time, you have to show love and affection … But do not over do it. You also need to ensure that clean your dog's teeth … a good way to do is get one of those toothbrushes for dogs finger and put chicken or meat-flavored toothpaste to dog on it. For the first couple of days just let him lick the toothpaste without sticking your finger in the mouth. Similarly, when you're licking the toothpaste, praise him. The next couple of days, slowly put finger in his mouth while hes licking toothpaste and keep praising him. With time you will get it to such an extent that will allow you to brush your teeth if you go enough slow. I also give him a treat after each brushing and praise him a lot! you must be very careful with certain foods too! Many foods are poisoness to dogs and can cause death or make them very sick. Here are some you should avoid. Alcoholic beverages Baby food from fish bones, chicken, or beef other sources Chocolate Cat food, coffee, tea and other caffeine citrus oil extracts fat trimmings and raisins Grapes Hops Human vitamin supplements containing iron, large quantities of liver marijuana Macadamia nuts Milk and milk products other spoiled food or mildew, garbage Onions and garlic (raw, cooked, or powder) Persimmons Pits peaches and plums from the Potato, rhubarb, and tomato leaves, potato and tomato stems raw fish raw eggs Salt sugary dough String snuff yeast also does not feed your dog table scraps for the fact that once you get used to it … they were expected to start begging. And once they start ask, is a hard habit to break. I think that's all for now! Hope this helps! Good Luck! =]]
